Salary Expectations:

Having worked overseas for 6 years, I'm kinda guessing here, although I have 
been interviewing for roles paying between $80k and $100k plus super.  But now 
that I've decided to avoid long hours for the family's sake, I'm probably looking 
at the lower end of that range for now.


Desired Role:

I'd expect to get in on the strength of my main skill (Transact-SQL) but my aim
here is really to build on my 2 years of C# experience in an application 
support/development team environment where I can get the .NET mentorship I need,
the small chunks of work that I enjoy, and build the relationship with my users
that I find so motivating.


Location:

I'm restricting my search to permanent roles from Sydney CBD to Sutherland Shire.
Kogarah, Hurstville, Sutherland, and Cronulla are all highly desirable.


Hours:

With the recent appearance of our first baby, I need to keep my hours down 
to 40-45 per week.  Shift work and after hours support is perfectly fine.


Motivators:

I work best in an environment that allows me to build a strong relationship with
several key users, where I can build a reputation for helpfulness and my
pragmatic focus on business needs.  While I tend to lose sight of the end in
monolithic greenfield projects, I thrive on developing small chunks of
time-saving functionality (2-10 days) for specific users, and the
face-to-face recognition of that tangible business impact.
